I love Wallace’s desire to use inventions to do stuff he could easily do himself.

I’ve been rediscovering this television series from when I was a kid. Does anybody else remember Voltron: Defender of the Universe? Anyway, I found that Netflix has all of the series available for streaming online, and it’s like finding my inner-boy again.

I try to let my photos do most of the talking… but somehow I feel that my blog still lacks some personality. Jeannie tries to make sure that I’m as non-offensive as possible, which is good, but can be a little bland. That said, it’s not like I’m going to go try offending people now. I just thought I’d try to inject a little bit a pop culture from one of the best sitcoms every created/executed - The Office. I love The Office because I’ve worked in a cubicle as an engineer, and almost every character reminds me of someone I have met at a deskjob environment… and yes, I do know a “Michael Scott”.
This first clip is someone taking Office clips and turning it into a Halloween trailer. Well done.
I was also debating putting in a clip of Michael Scott with his second head costume, but I’m going to opt for Jim imitating Dwight instead.
Happy Halloween, everybody.
If you haven’t seen this show, it is amazing. It starts a little bit slow because it takes a few episodes to build the premise, but once you get going, the show is hilarious. I have to admit that it is much better in DVD form than as a tv show, especially if you are a channel flipper, since stuff doesn’t make sense if you miss anything at all. Winner of numerous Emmys, SAGs, and a Golden Globe, it’s a shame that it only lasted 3 seasons (see awards list). I’m only up-to-date through season 2, but so far, the writing is incredible, the acting if flawless, and I can’t think of a better sitcom I’ve ever seen. Mitchell Hurwitz is a friggin’ genius.
I’m really into this show right now. It has almost everything I want in my photography - gritty, intense, passionate, messy, and weirdly beautiful. All the characters are completely twisted, with agendas that they don’t even know they have. Yeah, I know that it’s totally unrealistic, being high school kids and all, but I guess I find myself connecting to the disfunction and resilience of relationships that the show conveys.
