Can a physical place really be magical? Or is it just all that fantasy stuff playing with my head? Tropical retreats to Hawaii are great and as advertised, and I’m sure Tahiti is amazing, but Palau was a bit other-worldly. Part of it was definitely the diving that made it spectacular, but there was something about being at this place on this planet that made me feel connected to the “bigness” of it all. There are so many elements that I want to point to and say that that is the thing, but I’m never sure.
Maybe it was the jellies.
Maybe it was the blue ocean.
Maybe it was the simplicity of island life.
Maybe it was that incredible skyline.
All these possibilities.
Just as much as I find beauty in those questions between definitions, Palau was a place that made me take in the experience because there really wasn’t much to say about it. The enigma is its definition.
Nice…gonna work for national geographic soon?
Loos GORGEOUS! I’m totally jealous!
beautiful, daniel! and did you say this was all w/a point & shoot?
Daniel so glad that you guys got take that trip! It is magical!
amazing!
It’s hard to remember to look outside your bubble sometimes, but when you do, like you did, it helps expand your creativity to other-worldly means. Beautiful images!
