Apologies for the delay in blogging (and thank you, Ryan, for finding my WP bug). I haven’t posted in awhile, so this feels pretty good. Finally!
This is my first Bat Mitzvah, and it was a total blast. I really enjoyed the service and being able to experience Jewish culture from up close. What better way for a photographer to experience something than to photograph it. ;)
And then there was the party. Oh my! – what a party it was. Maybe it was the virulent combination of youth and candy, or the amazing planning that was done by Lisa Kahn and her crew (www.lisakahnevents.com). Either way, it was a party that I can’t imagine a 13 year old girl forgetting.
My hope is that these images convey both that sense of piety for the tradition during the ceremony, as well as the energy of the celebration party in the evening.
